Windows XP SP2, Enterprise 2007 installed, currently using OExpress 6 without
problems. Outlook 2007 will not save password, import mail account settings,
or either send/recieve anything. Error message states that "a password must
be entered". Have tried all fixes on website including registry key,
reinstalling outlook 07, etc...

Help anyone?

Hello, and thanks for such a speedy reply. I added a new profile with the
same results. It's like the box for the password simply will not "remember"
what you just typed in... any other ideas?

Thanks, Kelly

I turned off the email scanner that runs with my antivirus software (Spyware
Doctor) and no change in that either. Adding a new identity came through
without the password as well Weird...

http://support.microsoft.com
- Select the product (is "Enterprise 2007" supposed to mean "Outlook
2007"?).
- Search on "remember password protected storage".
- Follow the KB article on deleting the registry key (which wipes the
corrupted cache copy of your password).
- When you poll next time, enter the password and enable the checkbox
to remember your password (to re-add it to the registry cache).
