Outlook 2007 not saving passwords

Hi

I have windows XP Pro SP2 with Outlook 2007 and since being upgraded to
Outlook 2007 (from Outlook 2003) I can't get the outlook account to save the
password to log on to the incoming or outgoing mail servers. It prompts me
everytime and when I enter the correct password mail functions but it means
that everytime Outlook does a send \ receive I have to enter in the
password. I have seen (and run through) Microsoft Knowledge Base article
290684 but this did not resolve the issue.

Graham,

I too have a client with this same problem. Running XP SP2 with
Outlook 2007 and it won't save the password. I too have tried the
resolutions that I could find on microsoft.com and also some other
fixes that are floating around out there to no avail. I'll keep
looking, but if you find a fix I'd love to hear it!
