Outlook 2007/Exchange 2007 - Save Password

Setup:
Windows XP SP2
Outlook 2007
Exchange 2007

I know this has been addressed but can't seem to make it work. I am using
Outlook 2007 connected to Exchange 2007 and have been trying to stop Outlook
from prompting before logging in.

I have tried setting the Password Authentication to NTLM and saving the
credentials, using stored user names and passwords. ( Start > Run > control
keymgr.dll )
Server = autodiscover.mydomain.com
Username= email address
Password = password

I have seen other postings where this setup should work but does not seem to
happen with me. Any other suggestions ;)

Thanks in advance.

I think the main one is that "Automatically detect connection state" is
selected in the account settings.

I guess you've checked obvious other stuff in the Outlook Account
Settings, like on the Security tab, "Always prompt for logon
credentials" is NOT checked.

Hi Duncan,

Yes "Always prompt for logon credentials" is NOT checked". I don't believe
the connection state matters, when sending password credentials. I am on LAN
(Cable Modem). I attempted to change the settings anyhow and it did not make
a difference. ïŒ

The "puzzling" thing is that after I initially set it up as described in my
previous message it seemed to have worked. A co-worker was also able to get
force Outlook not prompt on his machine (vista). Then after both rebooted
without making any changes it continued to prompt.

Thanks,
Chris

I have a cable modem, and the only thing I can think of is that when you
rebooted, and since you made changes to your cable modem, perhaps it
picked up a "new" MAC address from the cable modem?

Prolly barking up the wrong tree, but though I should at least mention
it.
