Outlook 2007 will not save my Exchange proxy server password

Hi there

I am using Outlook 2007 to connect to my Exchange 2003 email server through
an HTTP proxy. It all works fine apart from the fact that Outlook refuses to
remember my Email server password and asks me for it each time I start
Outlook or plug in my Windows Mobile device to sync. I am checking the box to
tell it to remember the password, but it never does.

Hi there Roady.

Unfortunately, deleting the Protect folder did not make any difference.
Outlook continues to prompt me for the password each time it starts.

Any other ideas?

You might want to try it with a clean mail profile;

Also, if you have a virus scanner that integrates with Outlook, disable this
integration and try again (some work like a mail proxy on its own which
could cause you this issue).

If that doesn't work either you may want to ask for some ideas at the
Exchange newsgroup exchange.clients
