Outlook 2007 - Uploading attachments/files

When sending a message through Outlook (via comcast.net), I can attach docs
and small jpg files successfully. However, anything over 1MB will not upload
and send. Comcast doesn't have any answers for me ... can anyone help?

Yes ... the message says "Task '(e-mail address removed) - Sending' reported error
(0x8004210B): 'The operation timed out waiting for a response from the
sending (SMTP) server. If you continue to recieve this message, contact your
server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).'

We spent over an hour with a comcast tech assistant and nothing was
accomplished. I can send the same attachment directly from comcast so I know
my computer has enough memory. It seems to be a problem between Outlook and
comcast. Any ideas?
