Outlook 2007 Signature

I am interested in creating a signature with a background image and a little
CSS. Is this possible with Outlook 2007. For something as simple as basic
HTML signature I can't believe it's not easier to create and utilize in
Outlook. It was fairly easy in Outlook 2003.

Start here: http://www.howto-outlook.com/howto/signatures.htm . Keep in
mind that with Outlook 2007, Word is the rendering engine and not IE, so
what worked before may no longer work, because Word's CSS handling is
limited.

Does anyone know how to work around the inability to use the following css:

<tr valign="top" style="background: url('images/tire_heading.gif')
no-repeat;">

I am trying to set an image as a background for my signature card and then
place text on top of it but I don't want the image to be repeatable. One of
the reasons for this is to keep our company branding the same with all of
our marketing material.

Any suggestions for a work around. I have read that Outlook 2007 using Word
as its HTML rendering engine instead of IE like in Outlook 2003.

Brian Tillman - that link you gave is for 2003 not 2007 which is what the
user is asking about.

So on behalf of that user, again, is there a way to make the same html
signature in outlook 2007 as that used in 2003?

Making a new signature, not using an old one.

What makes you believe that most of the methods applicable to Outlook 2003
won't work in Outlook 2007?
