Outlook 2007 sends two emails every time

V

Vespasion

Every time I send an email, no matter what kind, It always says:
"Sending 2 of 2"

If I send one email to one person, It says it is sending 2 emails.
If I send 1 email to 20 people, it says the same.

Why?
Has someone hacked into my Outlook and getting duplicates of everything I
send?
I may be paranoid, but this gives me the creeps.

What could it be?

Could it be a stuck read receipt?
See http://www.howto-outlook.com/howto/deletereadreceipt.htm

If you virus scanner comes up clean, then it could also be that you are hit
by the Outlook 2007 counting bug. In some cases it was fixed by applying SP2
but it could still pop-up. It's just the number that is off though, it
doesn't do anything else. In some cases recreating the mail profile solves
it as well but it could return still.
