Outlook 2007 Sending Phantom Emails

When I open up my Outlook 2007 it goes through the process of receiving my
email's. While reading my emails the program will show in the bottom right
corner that it is sending 1 of 3 emails at a time that I have not composed
any email's. It will repeat this process every few minutes again saying it
it sending out an email that I have not composed or sent. After it goes
through the send/receive process I get an error message saying there was a
send/receive error and the error is that it cannot connect to an outgoinging
server.

While it is going through this send phase my outbox is complete empty. I
have a virus protection program and have not had any problem with virus.
Also have a spyware program and even when I delete the sypware files the
sending of the phantom emails still happen.

I do not have any problems sending or receiving my emails.

Any idea what is causing the Outlook 2007 to do this and how do I stop it.

Thanks

Darrell

nhe problem seems to stem from receipt acknowledge to an email account whem
you are on the wrong server. I have two accounts with different IP providers
and if auto responding ( aknowledge ) to a received mail when on the wrong
server the system ( Vista ) tries repeatedly to send the acknowledge but
gets bounced due the password being incorrect for that server. I am currently
having this problem for several days now and have not yet figured how to get
rid of it

Has anyone come up with an answer as to fixing this - RegCure didn't solve it
