Outlook 2007 only shows Large Fonts with Reply/New

All of a sudden, Outlook 2007 only shows very large fonts in the message
field. There is no way to alter the size of the font; only the type. All
fonts are the same large size. Any way to correct this?

What is your Zoom setting?

You're correct in that the zoom has for some inexplicable reason changed to
500% in the reply. The issue is though, what is causing this? It was all OK
until a year or so ago - and then changed as a result of some "automatic
update" for existing software. Please explain how I stop the zoom changing
every time I send a reply - without having to manually re-set it for every
reply I send - this is a really frustrating situation. In ever-hopeful
anticipation: thanks for your help.
