Outlook 2007 large pst file size

Just upgraded from 2003 to 2007. Have 3.5GB pst file size. Outlook
opens/loads slowly. Also closes slowly. Each time I close and try to open
later, I get message: "...closed incorrectly last time, must run validation
check...". Is 2007 limited to 2GB pst file size?? Anyway in registry to
increase allowable size?

3.5 GB is not large for a Unicode format .PST file in Outlook 2007. If you
were using the old Outlook 97-2002 format .PST you would never have been able
to successfully get to 3.5GB.

Slowness is not uncommon in Outlook 2007 for a variety of reasons. See
http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/ol2007/slow.htm for some ideas on speeding
it up. You can also use AutoArchive (or Archive from the File menu) to start
storing older items to separate files so the one you use day-to-day isn't so
big.
