Outlook 2007 journal can't record remote Word 2007 files

Greetings.

I found you as an outlook expert on an amazon book „Microsoft Outlook 2007
Bible.â€

I currently use Outlook/Word 2007 at the office and I like the option in
Outlook that lets you view the Journal and view all activity that you've
done. The problem is that here at the Firm I host many files on a shared
network drive and it seems the journal only shows word documents that are
opened on the local drive and not the network drive. Could you inform me how
to change this so the journal records ALL documents opened?

Has anyone found a solution?

I have not found a solution (Microsoft deliberately turned off the network
tracking feature), but here is a website for Outlook feedback. Please
complain about the disabling of this feature:
