Outlook 2007 is Gone!!! HELP

Greetings

Something I was doing caused a dialog box to pop telling me that Outlook
must be removed or uninstalled (I can't remember the exact message) and it
actually uninstalled itself in a matter seconds! The Outlook 07 application
is nowhere to be found. The shortcut icons are missing for Outlook now on my
quickstart menu and in the Programs Menu. I tried running the OPPLUS-EN.EXE
file again and it had a big red X next to Outlook. It would not reinstall
Outllook. I am still able to access my email via my college's Exchange
server webmail location but the client app is completely gone. I looked in
"program files\Microsoft Office\Office 12" folder and the outlook "exe" file
is also gone. Can someone please help me.

thanks

It would be great if you could remember what the dialog box said and
what caused it.
I'd suggest to completely uninstall Office 2007, reboot and then
reinstall.

Thanks for your response. Ok, I shall uninstall the entire suite. I do not
remember what the dialog box said. I onlly know that for about a week prior
to the problem, whenever I opened Outlook I would get an Office 2003 message
asking me to install something from the original Office 03 CD. I tried using
the CD but it would never work so I have just been clicking cancel whenever
the message to install a 2003 compoinent pops up.

After you uninstalled 2007, go into Add/Remove Programs and change the
Office 2003 setup. Make sure to remove Outlook 2003. Then reinstall
2007. Do not launch 2003 setup (to install anything) while 2007 is still
installed. If you want to add a 2003 program, remove 2007 first, add it,
then reinstall 2007.
The error messages you got with the 2003 setup are rather weird and
could explain your issues.
