Outlook 2007 & Gmail issue

G

gdwallace

having problems downloading pop3 mail into outlook 2007.

have used the settings for outlook 2003 provided by Gmail which appear
to work for others.

receiving the error:

Task '********@gmail.com - Receiving' reported error (0x80042108) :
'Outlook cannot connect to your incoming (POP3) e-mail server. If you
continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or
Internet service provider (ISP).'

searching this brings up a lot of stuff about Norton which is not
installed.

Does not appear to be firewall or network related. I have tried it in
several different connections.

Any ideas out there?

I am having the same Problem. I have found that it sends the error only if
you are trying to download an attachment. I have been able to get it to work
with just one email in the account with out an attachment.
