Outlook 2007 freezes on open

Hi - I'm running Windows Vista Business and Outlook 2007. When I first turn
on my laptop, connect to the Internet (by opening Internet Explorer), then
open Outlook 2007, I can open one email message and close it, but then
Outlook freezes. Clicking on anything in the Outlook window, including the
Close button, is ineffective. If I open Windows Task Manager, it shows
Outlook as running. But if I then End Task, the End Program dialog box says
"The program is not responding." After I end the Outlook session, I can
reopen Outlook and then it works normally for that Windows Vista session.
This error occurs consistently. Anyone know a fix? Thanks.

This same thing is happening to me also (Vista Home Premium, Outlook
2007). I can get one email opened, but I can't even send it before the
program and email window freezes. I have to close Outlook with the
task manager.
I have imported a large (1.8 GB) data file from Outlook 2002. Isn't
2007 supposed to handle up to 20GB?
Can anyone PLEASE help?

Hi - My Outlook is fine now (a month later). You may need to download any
Vista updates from Windows Update. That's the only thing that has changed on
my system since my first notice. - Bob
