outlook 2007 freezes reading pane

Outlook 2007 SP1 using Vista Business freezes when reading pane is open. Is
there a fix? When I get the message that Outlook is not responding and select
"find solution and restart program" it restarts with reading pane closed.

Did you installed Windows desktop search? If yes, please uninstalled and
install again. It caused to make the read panel freeze and outlook not
respond correctly.

Why would you think so? Also, Vista has indexing built-in which you cannot
uninstall, only disable.

Because I got same problem 2 times last week. If Vista can't uninstall the
desktop search that may try to stop the service for test. My experience based

Windows Desktop Search doesn't interfere with the Reading Pane. However, if
you you forced it to index your items then system resources are not returned
to you when you are using the computer. This can make the computer
unresponsive or create a severe lag which you may encounter as a freeze. It
is recommended that you do the initial indexing overnight so it has enough
time to complete indexing without continuously being interrupted.
