Outlook 2007 Email Contacts

TM

When I want to email someone I have emailed in the past, I only have to enter
a letter, say for instance A and a window comes up with all the email address
or contacts with a. I am trying to find a way to see everyone that I email.
When I look in contacts I only see 4, but I must have a hundred or so. I
don't get it. I can be ready to email someone and push any letter and get a
list of everyone starting with that particular letter but I can't find a way
to see everyone. I want to print off everyone I email with but only 4 show up
in contacts. Can anyone help? Thanks! TM

When you start typing a recipient in the address fields of a new email
message, Outlook is accessing a cache of addresses that you have sent
messages to in the recent past. This is independent of your contacts. The
autocomplete cache (sometimes called a nickname cache) is strictly a
productivity enhancement. It is not intended to be an address book.

To see who you've mailed, I would recommend sorting the Sent Items folder by
recipient address or perhaps use an addon like Xobni. There are products
that try to use the information in the autocomplete cache.
