Outlook 2007 crashing on startup

I have a 200MB .pst file that has been running just fine until yesterday. I
am able to start Outlook but when I attempt to get new email it crashes. I
have run scanpst dozens of times. Each time I get the crash and rerun it
there are errors found by scanpst so I click on repair and it says everything
is peachy. Of course when I restart Outlook after doing this it still
crashes. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Outlook and that didn't resolve
the crash issue. I need some help if anyone has any suggestions as I have all
sorts of mail hung at my ISP because I can't download it using Outlook to my
..pst.

I forgot to mention that I have run scandisk and there were no errors
reported and the disk is healthy.

Looks like if I set the options to only download the email message headers I
can do a send receive. If I enable attachments to be downloaded it crashes
every time.
