Outlook 2007 Beta: Navigation Pane

Hello,

I am noticing that when I have the navigation pane minimized (docked to the
left side of the screen) only a few of my folders show up below the
"Navigation Pane" text. The area of blue around the words "Navigation Pane"
is huge - enough to fit 3 or 4 more mail folders (favorites) - however
Outlook insists on keeping this vast amount of blue space at the expense of
those folders.

There is no resizing handle that I can find - any suggestions? It would be
nice to see about 4 or 5 of the folders below the "Navigation Bar" text.
Thanks!!

Hi Brian,

I don't think there is a way to resize that button. Have you clicked on
the button before and saw how the navigation pane appeared?

I agree!
You can resize the list below the folder list by dragging the bar at tht
ebottom of the folder list withthe Pane minimized but you miss out on some
of the PIM options below.
The folder list you see is actually your Favorite folders in the same order
as you have them listed. That order can be changed when the Pane is
Maximized via dragging folders to create the order you like. Keeping folder
names short can create more space.

Hi Bill,

I have dragged the resize bar down as far as it will go - I understand there
is a limited amount of screen real-estate to play with. My concern (or maybe
suggestion) is to reduce the amount of space taken up by the background of
the "Navigation Pane" title.

Thanks for the input!!

ditto on that. I also think that the folder labels could go vertical to
create more room.
