i am trying to use outlook 2003 but it hangs up everytime i click on it.
outlook express works perfectly. i clicked on the error report to see what
the problem could be and it says it's about outlook.exe and this error report
includes info regarding the condition of microsoft office outlook when the
problem occurred, the operating system verson and computer hardware in use
and the Internet Protocol address of my computer.

i have reinstalled it and same thing. everything else works perfectly.

any suggestions...............please help as i need more capabilities than
outlook express is offering.

Open Windows Explorer and in the Address Bar, enter
"%AppData%\Microsoft\Outlook". Click Go. You'll see outcmd.dat there.

Outlook can't run without creating it. You have run Outlook once, correct?
You have configured a mail account in the mail profile, correct?

No I haven't run it as of yet as it keeps locking when I try. I was
successful in configuring the mail profiles though.

Post the exact steps you've taken in creating your mail profile.
