Outlook 2003 with ActiveSync 4.5 and Win 6.1

I have a problem that has arisen recently and I am not able to decide when it
started , so I cannot pinpoint what I did to cause it.

I have a BlackJack II that has been updated to Windows 6.1.
I am using ActiveSync 4.5 (as recommended)
I am using outlook 2003

I was able to sync with no issues when I first did the update to 6.1 (in
fact I would say it was better behaved than with 6.0).

I am unable to sync without getting an error message and ActiveSync claiming
it is going to close (it never does)

The message in the Blackjack is 0x8083001

I am only trying to sync calendar, contacts and notepad. When I do this it
locks up Outlook and I have to close it to get back control of the pst.
Sometimes I have to close Outlook, then go into TaskManager and close the
outlook.exe program before it will restart.

I have tried removing activesync from the PC and deleting all registry
entries related to activesync, then re-installing and trying again. I also
deleted the two profiles on the Blackjack but could find no way to renove the
active sync program (not in file remove)

Any help is gratefully received.

Just to rule out Outlook as an issue here;
-run scanpst.exe against your pst-file to check it for errors.
See http://www.msoutlook.info/question/77
-run Detect and Repair on your Office installation via the Setup on your CD,
Control Panel-> Add/Remove Applications or in Outlook via Help-> Detect and
Repair

If it still fails after that, you'll be off/topic for newsgroup as Outlook
doesn't play an active role in the sync process. The proper newsgroup to
continue would be pocketpc.activesync

You can also go back to your Telecom or phone provider from who you obtained
the upgrade.

Thanks, I will run scanpst and then move the conversation if that doesn't fix
it. Sorry for posting here, I was looking in the wrong place for a group.
