Outlook 2003 Unread Mail Folder Problem

Ray Adams

I find the "Unread Mail" folder in Outlook 2003 a real
time saver. However, when new mail arrives while the
focus is on the Unread Mail folder, the focus immediately
changes to the Inbox, resulting in a loss of the mail
item in the Unread Mail Folder (it is of course in the
Inbox but you now have to find it). Is there any way to
disable this change of focus?

Thanks,

This doesn't happen over here. When I've got the focus on the Unread Mail
search folder and a new mail arrives I simply stay in the Unread Mail search
folder.

When I click on my desktop alert however the mail opens and is not unread
anymore and therfore won't be displayed in the Unread Mail search folder.

If you don't want this you can change when a message should be marked as
read under Tools-> Options-> tab Other-> button Reading Pane...

Just to make sure; do you have the Technical Refresh installed?
