outlook 2003 standart will not let me erase emails

Hi,

Outlook will not let me erase email, every time I try to erase an email I
get the following message “The messaging interface has an unknown error, if
the problem persists, restart outlook†I tried restarting outlook even
turning the computer off and back on again and I still get the same message
every time I try to erase an email, and now it is getting ridiculous I have
23957 emails and I can’t erase them, can any one help with this problem.

If you're using a PST file have your tried running ScanPST.EXE on it?

Also, does this issue happen only when deleting huge blocks of email or even
a single item?
