Outlook 2003 - Rules & Alerts is there a limit?

Hi,

Is there a limit to the number of rules & alerts that can be set? The
reason I ask is because a friend has set a number of rules & alerts and when
he tries to add another he the following message is displayed:-

"insufficient space to support my rules"

Is there a way I extend the number of rules he has? Or has he reached the
limit of the e-mail client?

If you're on an Exchange server I think there's a hard limit of 32K for
rules storage
