Outlook 2003 questions...

A couple of questions that I need some help on, please.

1) I have a .wav file that I use when I receive a new message in Outlook.
After upgrading to OL 2003, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. I've
gone to my sounds in the control panel and it's set to go, is there any place
in Outlook that I need to check?

2) When right-clicking on the Junk E-mail folder and clicking on 'Empty
Junk E-mail Folder', where do those messages go? After reading the help on
that, it says they are supposed to do to the Deleted Items folder, but they
aren't there. Are they deleted for good when you do that? Where do I need to
check on that?

Thanks in advance for you help...

They are permanently deleted.
After reading
the help on that, it says they are supposed to do to the Deleted
Items folder, but they aren't there.

Help does say that, but it's not true. If you delete an item from the Junk
E-mail folder, it will get moved to Deleted Items, just as for any other
folder. Emptying the Junk E-mail folder, however, is just like emptying the
Deleted Items folder - the items are permanently deleted. You can verify
this yourself by turning on the option to warn before permanently deleting
thing on Tools>Options>Other>Advanced Options
