Outlook 2003 prompts for password that's already set to be saved

I'm using Outlook 2003. It's set up as a POP account. I've selected the
"remember password" option. For the last week when I open up Outlook it
prompts me for my password. This also happens once I've entered it and the
application has been open for a while. I'm not sure why I'm being prompted
for a password when it's set to remember mine. I'd appreciate any help.
