Outlook 2003 on Vista - BUGS (Spell Checker, Replies from Lotus No

Hi folks,
I have Vista Home Premium with Office 2003 loaded.
1)
When sending email, the native Spell Checker feature in Outlook pops a
window that says "Custom Dictionary not installed, do you want to add one ?"
If you click no, the normal spell checking function happens, if you answer
yes, an explorer box pops up in ...\MSMAPI\1003\ looking for a csutom
dictionary file.
There is no way to create a new one or choose a file either.
I ensured that rights were correct, and even tried copying the Word 2003
custom dictionary file from \proof to \1003. No dice
If you use Word as the editor, this issue goes away. If Spell check is not
chosen, this issue is not a problem.

2) When receiving email from Lotus users, often the response (Reply to)
email is blank. Outlook only seems to receive the original contents. This is
consistent from two different organizations using Lotus. There is nothing in
the header that hints what is going on. (The original emails are all sent in
Rich Text).
This only happens with Outlook 2003 on Vista, not XP.

Looks like comprehensive testing hasn't happened on Vista ... yet ?

MS warned that it was not going to support old stuff (legacy apps) in Vista
Why not use Office 2007?
best wishes
