Outlook 2003 & Norton Antispam 2005

Using Windows XP Pro, SP2, Office 2003 Professional with latest MS Office
patches & updates etc and Norton Antispam 2005.

Has any one experienced the following - I take the following steps:

* Download email,

* The spam goes into the junk folder - that identified by Outlook (from
block sender list) and that identified by Antispam.

* I can mark any other messages missed by the above with the "This is Spam"
button (which is the integrated button from Norton Antispam).....they all go
on the antispam block list.

* The processing of these messages by Anitspam sometimes it works, other
times it hangs, and Outlook freezes,

* I have to "End Program" then it comes up with "Send this error to
Microsoft" etc.

* I've tried a repair of MS Office/Outlook, I have the latest updates for
Outlook/Office/Antispam problem disappears for a while then returns. I
presume that Antispam works through Norton's server or something, and if
that's down, then the whole thing goes tail up?

Other times this has been successful.

I'm on dialup 56k modem internet connection which can be a little unreliable
at times, this might be part of the problem.....but does anyone know what
else might cause the crash/freezing of Outlook and a solution to get these
working together?

Despite claims to the contrary, Notron's tools don't always play well will
Outlook.

This sounds like a Notron problem. Have you checked their knowledgebase or
called their support number?

Repairing Outlok won't fix a problem in Norton's programs.

No. Norton's product doesn't need Norton's server to operate, except for
the autoupdate feature.
