Outlook 2003 Missing Email

We have a user that seems to be missing email when opening Outlook 2003,
however if that same user logs into his email account through OWA on the
Exchange 2000 server the messages are there and he can access them through
OWA.

Now we have created his mail profile on another work station, also using
Outlook 2003, and the results are the same. OWA shows the messages, but
Outlook will not display them in the inbox, they do not appear in the junk
mail folder either.

Can anyone explain why these messages are missing from Outlook 2003, and how
to get them to show in the Inbox for the user?

Our setup is Windows 2000 with SP4, Exchange 2000 with SP3, all Native Mode.

Check your view. It might be that the default view in Outlook is filtered
some how. Go to view, Arrange By, Current View, Customize Current View and
make sure there is nothing set on the Filter tab.

We have checked that, and the filters are NOT on, yet the messages will not
appear in the the Inbox for this user. No matter what machine we setup his
profile on, the new mail does not arrive in the Inbox in Outlook 2003.

At this time, he's forced to view new messages through OWA. Are there any
other settings we can check? A registry setting or something in
Outlook/Exchange 2000?
