outlook 2003 OWA junk email problem

I am running a third party spam filter on the exchange server which sends all
junk email to the outlook junk email folder. This works fine when I launch
the actual outlook client. The problem is when the client is not open and I
log in through OWA the junk email is all in the inbox. I do have the filter
junk email checked under options in OWA.

Is there any settings anywhere, either through outlook or exchange, that can
filter the junk mail while the outlook client is not loaded?
