Outlook 2003 messages disappearing

My CEO is having a bizarre problem. He sees new messages
enter his Inbox, then after about 5-10 seconds, they
disappear. He doesn't have them moved to a Personal
Folder, nor does he even have a Personal Folder in his
profile. He keeps all his mail on our Exchange 2003
server. What's going on with this?

What version of Outlook is he using? What View does he have set? What
Reading Pane options does he have set?

Oops. Ignore the "what version of Outlook" question. You included that
info in your subject. Sorry.

.
Well if I told you you wouldn't believe me. This had
nothing to do with any of that. He has his desktop
computer at home open with Outlook open and is POP'ing his
email to that machine without leaving a copy on the server.

What a smart CEO. If I knew the company, I'd surely avoid buying its stock.
