Outlook 2003 meeting request invitiation forwarded to other user

I was wondering if somebody could point me in the right direction.
Several users share their mailboxes to be accessed by other users.
When one particular user who has a shared mailbox receives an
invitation to a meeting it is also sent to the user with rights to
access this persons mailbox. Why would the user with permission to
access this mailbox also receive an invitation when it is not
addressed to their inbox? Other than the invites it is functioning
correctly.

check the Delegates settings as it is what drives whether somone with
permission will get copies of meeting invitations.
