Inviting a Public Calendar to meeting requests

Hi,

I have setup a public calendar (A department Calendar) in Outlook 2003 for a
particular department and users want to be able to invite that calendar to
meetings (this is for other users to know when other members of team may be
in a meeting). At the present they are unable to do this. Is there anyway
they can invite the public calendar to meeting requests? If there is, how
would I go about in setting this up?

All help will be greatly appericated...

Here are some basics for inviting the Public Calendar.

Both of these methods below will put the calendar item both on the individual and the main calendar. The only difference is if you put on the Public Calendar first then color labels are shown on both but if you will not be using color labels then probably does not matter>
Enter appointment directly into the Public Calendar and invite yourself. Will be prompted asking if you want to add this to your calendar now – click Yes. This option will allow you to utilize the color labels if you choose and will be on both calendars.

Or
Enter appointment in your calendar and invite the Public Calendar mailbox. This will not allow for any color labeling but is the quickest method.
