I recently sent a large e mail to myself from a remote location so that I
could get some pictures to my home computer. Since I have downloaded the
pictures to my home computer, Outlook will give a message that there are
still messages in the outbox each time that I try to close the program. I
look in the outbox folder and there is nothing there. It keeps sending the
large message that I originally sent.

I went to: file, work offline and there still was nothing listed isn the
outbox. There is nothing to delete. Is there a hidden folder of some sort to
go to. I went back online and the status line on the bottom almost
immediately went to sending message 1of 1. There still was nothing listed in
the outbox. It is like a ghost message of some sort.

Mary, you seem to know something about this problem. I had a large email
stuck in my OUTBOX. I read all the posts having to do with this issue and
wound up going to a site as suggested and trying the "offline/delete"
approach. It did not work so I then tried the other option of downloading an
"Information Store Viewer" program from a Microsoft website (MDBVu32).

I printed out and followed the instructions. Instead of deleting the one
offending file sitting in my outbox I believe it emptied EVERY other Outlook
Folder. I now have nothing in my Outlook folder --- except the one email in
my outbox that I wanted to get rid of.

Please help me. Is there a way to recover those files (either by navigating
through the Outlook Program pst files or somehow within the MDBVu32 program)
or are they all gone forever ? I am very frustrated to say the least.
