Outlook 2003 HTML format

I am running Outlook 2003 and for some reason all of my emails keep
defaulting to rich text or plain text. I have it set up in option to default
to HTML but when I receive emails or forward emails it flips back to rich or
plain text. This started to happen after I changed my signature. Can anyone
help??

A forward/reply will always use the same message format the message was
received in. There are things that can influence message format after
sending. Some of this could be using Word 2003 as your e-mail editor, the
contact record in Outlook is configured to use a specific message format,
and/or 3rd party addins (e.g. Palm's hotsync manager).

To check if an Outlook contact record is marked to receive a specific
message format is done by opening the contact record in question and then
double click on the e-mail address. The default is to let Outlook decide.
