Outlook 2003 & Exchange 5.5 Cached mode

Hi, I have several users using Outlook 2003 connected to an Exchange 5.5
server. When I turn on the cached mode all of their mail disappears. Any help?
This happens on both XPProsp2 and 2000Pro.

Disappears in what way? On the server? Does the cache build correctly?
