Outlook 2003 and Exchange 5.5

We are running outlook 2003 in cached mode with Exchange 5.5. What is
happening from time to time outlook gets disconnected and reconnected and I
was wondering is this problem with exchange 5.5 and outlook 2003.

It could be. We had that problem as well before updating to Exchange 2003.
Check for an Exchange patch. I know there are things in an unpatched
Exchange V5.5 that don't play well with Outlook 2003
