Outlook 2003 crashing when attaching file

Outlook 2003 11.6359.6408

I just upgraded to IE7, and what was a perfectly working Outlook 2003
now crashes whenever I try to add an attachment.

Start a new message, click on paperlclip to attach file, the browse
window pops up and almost at the same time I get a crash:

"Microsoft Office Outlook has encountered a problem and needs to close.

We are sorry for the inconvenience"

AppName: outlook.exe AppVer: 11.0.6353.0 AppStamp:408f2937
ModName: ntdll.dll ModVer: 5.1.2600.2180 ModStamp:411096b4
fDebug: 0 Offset: 00031c6b

If I drill down a bit further, I get:

Exception Information
Code: 0xc0000005 Flags: 0x00000000
Record: 0x0000000000000000 Address: 0x000000007c931c6b

I did go in and download all of the available Outlook / Office updates
and it's still crashing using the attach button. However, if I use the
adobe "Attach as PDF" - which brings up the minimal file browser - it
does not crash.

If you uninstall IE7 (which automatically returns you to IE6), does this
behavior persist?
