Outlook 2003 crashes when creating an appointment with one particular attendee

P

pauljamesrouse

I currently have an issue with a particular user and inviting them to
appointments.

The issue manifests itself as follows.

1) Choose New > Appointment

2) Click the Scheduling Tab and enter the recipients name

3) As soon as Outlook references the GAL and recognises the name and
tries to display the users calendar and availability it crashes and
gives the option of sending an error report

The problem does not occur if you do not use the scheduling tab, and
use the invite attendees button instead. However this method doesn't
force outlook to check the users calendar and display her availability.

Permissions are set correctly on the users calendar

Until this week the recipient in question used to have a delegate who
has since been removed from AD. The delegate was removed via Outlook by
the problem recipient after the delegates user account was removed from
AD. Could this have anything to do with the problem?

All help is appreciated.

Thanks

Paul
