Outlook 2003 crashes on open

Running Outlook 2003 on Windows XP Pro SP2, the program crashes
immediately after opening.

The following error information is provided:

I'm dead in the water at this point.

A few things to try:

Disable the built in firewall with XP
Disable your antivirus (temporarily)
login as a new user to create a new profile
try uninstalling office and reinstall
I have also seen strange things happen if the users temp folder is
overloaded.

Setting up a new account using IMAP instead of POP3 seems to work.

How big is your POP account? Perhaps you're .pst file is too large. I
have seen this crash Outlook before.

Outlook 2003 has a much bigger PST capacity than older versions.

Yes, but if you upgraded sometimes it doesn't automatically update the
format of your .pst. Often times, you'd have to create a new account.
