Outlook 2003: cannot open any attachments. Get msg "Access is deni

Any attachment at all. I click, for instance, an .wmv and I get a popup that
says "Access is denied." No important file types are blocked in
'Level1Remove' in the registry.

I have cleaned out the OutlookSecureTemp folder. I used a software called
OutlookTools to "unblock" all extensions.

Nothing I can do fixes this.

XP Pro SP 3.
Office Outlook 2003 SP3.

Thanks for the suggestion.

I should have mentioned that I created a totally new profile. I was working
on the idea that a corrupted profile was responsible for the phenomenon.

It did not solve the issue. I also tried a new folder for Outlook secure
temp.

That too was not fruitful.
