Outlook 2003 SP3 and .msg attachments

Bryan

Hello,

After recently upgrading to SP3, Outlook will no longer open .msg
files that are attachments in emails (digest messages). I have tried
everything I found on the 'net and nothing seems to work. I can start
Outlook in Safe mode and can open the .msg files without any problem.
But when I re-launch Outlook in normal mode, nothing happens when I
click on the .msg files. I don't get and error, or a pop-up box or
anything, it's like I'm not even clicking on it.

Things I have tried so far:
-- Detect and Repair
-- PST Repair Tool
-- Start in safe mode then normal mode
-- Save .msg file to desktop and tried to open

Anybody else seeing this in Outlook 2003 SP3? BTW, I am using XP Pro.

Thanks.

I have Outlook 2003-SP3, and I have just sent myself a message with an
..msg attachment; no problem opening it.

Since it works for you in Safe Mode, the problem may originate from an
add-on; try to disable each add-on and see which one causes the problem.

Wish I could help... I am having the same problem as well. I have
heard that it's Exchange releated.
