Outlook 2003 and Office 97

Russ

We're using Office 2003 resource kit to update our
clients from Exchange to Outlook 2003.
Our configuration on the clients is Office 97 Standard
WITHOUT Outlook and Exchange.
First we setup a script to remove exchange, then run a
silent custom install. Well, here lies the problem. If
Outlook 97 is not installed on the system, the silent
install will only install Office shared components and
will skip Outlook install completelly. If Outlook 97 is
install as part of Office 97 the install goes through
successfully. Any ideas? Thx.

This is because you upgrade instead of install. By default the installer
only updates installed components when it finds a previous version.

Thx. That's what I expected but wasn't certain. Could
someone please provide me the command line for forced
install instead of ugprade. I can't seem to find it in
the msi installer.
