Outlook 2003 and IMAP ... ?

Hello:

I am in the process of configuring Outlook to use IMAP, but having
some issues.

What I want to do is simply use Outlook to manage my IMAP account, but
Outlook is forcing me to also use a .PST as my "default place to send
messages to". Now I have two folder lists in the Outlook
interface. :-/

I have read that like most other messaging clients, I can sync my IMAP
folders locally (offline copy to a .PST) ... but I have no idea where
or how to do this. If I could create this elusive offline .PST, maybe
I could eliminate the need for the additional .PST Outlook forced me
to create as noted above.

Any tips?

imap needs two - one local pst for your calendar and contacts, one that is
synced with the mail on your imap server.
