IMAP Outlook 2003 setup

I use Outlook 2003 (SP2) and have just changed from POP3 to IMAP. I have
created an IMAP account. When I receive new messages they are imported into
a local pst and the IMAP version of the message is deleted. How can I stop
this from happening as I want to keep messages on the IMAP server?

Hi,

Looks like the default email delivery location is changed to the local pst
file.
Go under Tools> Email Accounts> View or change email accounts> Deliver new
emails to the following location- Make sure IMAP folder is selected rather
than PST file.

Close and restart Outlook after applying the settings.

Thanks,

Mittu

Um, no. IMAP PSTs can never be the delivery location.

Unless you have rules doing the moving (or a view that is somehow hiding the
messages), IMAP messages will always stay on the server and you will have an
account-specific PST that acts as the local cache for the server, mirroring
what the server contains to allow faster access.

What makes you think they are being deleted from the server?
