Outlook 2003 and Hotmail difficulties

I have Outlook 2003 and a paid hotmail account...

Has anyone been having trouble accessing their hotmail throught Outlook
in the past few days? On both of my computers, I keep getting a
"connection to server is unavailable" error, and even when I go to
File>Connect to Hotmail, it just hangs and gives the same error.
Everyone once in a while, I'm able to view a message and maybe even
delete it, but even then it's extremely slow.

Are the hotmail servers going through some maitenence I'm not aware of
right now? Accesing hotmail on the web works fine for me though...
