Outlook 2003 and comcast (SENT MAIL & Misc Folder Mail download issue)

Hello

I have successfully configured my outlook 2003 to import all inbox messages on the comcast server from my email. All email from the server now sit in my inbox on my computer in outlook 2003.

However, I cannot figure out how to import the sent email & several misc. folders that still contain emails from comcast server to outlook.

I've called comcast and they indicate it's MS issue. I've searched many threads on various forums and cannot find info specific to my problem.

If anyone can shed some light please let me know.

If you need add'l informaion - I'm happy to provide.

thank you
Kat

kathryn,
You will need to move them into the Inbox in the webmail interface. Then run
MS Outlook 2003, and they will be delivered to the Inbox folder in Outlook.
1. If you want to leave these messages on the server, before downloading
from Comcast, you will need to change the setting for the Comcast acct, in
Outlook to leave messages on the server. Download them from the Comcast
Inbox, then move them back to the appropriate folder in the webmail
interface. Then repeat the process for the other folders one at a time. When
you are done, and you can uncheck that box, and have message removed from
Comcast's mail server, after they have arrived in the Inbox, for Outlook
2003.

2. If you do not to leave the messages in the WebMail Inbox, then just move
the messages to the Webmail Inbox, and let Outlook receive them normally.

3. You may want to create message rules to move incoming messages to user
created folders in Outlook 2003, if they are not there already.
a. For the Sent Items folder messages, you may want to create a rule in
Outlook.

Where (e-mail address removed) is in the From Line.
Move messages to Sent Items folder (in Outlook).
Stop Processing more Rules.

And then do whatever housekeeping you need to do with the messages to put
them in the appropriate folders.
