When I make a new message in Outlook, the following message is always
appearing:

" A program is trying to access email addresses you have stored in Outlook
(that is my address book). Do you want to allow this. If this is unexpected
etc. etc. “

How do I get rid of that message? It’s quite annoying, as it requires
additional actions in order to get your message prepared……

Do you have Adobe Acrobat installed as well?

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Office\Outlook\Addins\PDFMOutlook.PDFMOutlook\.
Find the REG_DWORD value LoadBehavior. The value is set to 3 =the button is
visible in the Outlook toolbar. Set the value to 0 =the button will not show
in the toolbar the next time you want to send an e-mail. You can always
reset the value to 3 if you want the button to reappear in the toolbar.

I had indeed! And after changing the set value from 3 to 0 the annoying
pop-up does not appear anymore. Thanks very much.

I'm getting the exact same error message as Stung Chinit, but the error
doesn't wait to pop up until I create a new message; it pops up all the time
incessantly. I do have Acrobat installed, but I do not have a PDFMOutlook
file in the addins folder. I do have a Loadbehavior file there, and while I
changed the value to zero, it had no effect. Any suggestions? What else
could be doing this?

Hi Roady

I now get the same message as Stung Chinit whenever I try to hotsynch with
my Palm. But when I click 'yes' to accept, it doesn't acknowledge it and just
keeps asking. The only way to stop it is to abort hotsynching. This only
started happening recently, maybe following a recent Windows Update download.
I have Adobe Acrobat installed and I've tried getting to the Addins file you
mention below but can't locate it (or the Software file). I'm in the UK, am
not networked, use Windows XP Professional/Office 2002. I'd be grateful for
help as I've spent a lot of time trying to get help via websites/Help
services but no joy so far.

Thanks,
Rachel

You should be able to download from the program's vendor a version of
Hotsync that addresses this problem.
