MS Outlook 2007 Bug

I seen this problem with many people and it’s still happening with MS Outlook
users.
The problem is that sent message get stuck in Outbox and MS Outlook try
sending it again and again. I am getting message that:
“Your message was successfully delivered to the destination(s) listed
below. If the message was delivered to mailbox you will receive no further
notifications. Otherwise you may still receive notifications of mail delivery
errors from other systems."
This means that message is gone but neither it’s in "Sent Items" folder nor
it’s leaving "Out Box". Sometimes sender only realise when it get message
from the receiver that his Inbox is full because of stuffed up Outlook
function. This actually create very bad situation because the receiver get
irritated as his/er mail box go over limit.
As I seen in this discussion group and also Microsoft Support releases that
it was a problem continuing from Office 97 version and still persisting with
2007.

Which mail account type are you using?
This issue is often caused by a virus scanner not properly integrating with
Outlook. Disable this integration and try again.

Thanks a lot for your prompt reply. My incoming server is POP3 and outgoing
SMTP (POP/SMTP). Antivirus integration is with AVG which I have already
reinstalled as I was suspecting this problem with integration. As I said
before that it’s not with every single mail I send, but it happened very
frequently. Today my outlook stuck on one email which was 4mb (including 4
jpg attachments), and it has sent a data of 134mb which is ridiculous, as you
can imagine how many times it had sent the email, and it was still sitting in
the outbox and nothing in sent items.
I really appreciate your reply.

So all 3rd party mail/protocol integration, scanning and synching has been
disabled?
How does it work in Outlook Safe Mode? Start-> Run; outlook.exe /safe
To verify that it is not an issue with your pst-file, clear your Outbox and
empty your Deleted Items folder. Then run scanpst.exe to check your pst-file
for errors.
See http://www.msoutlook.info/question/77

If the issue still occurs then, you can enable logging and see what Outlook
is transmitting and receiving during the send/receive process.

don't reinstall AVG - disable email scanning. You don't need to scan
outbound email - you know what you send is safe and if a virus is sending
stuff, you have deeper problems - specifically that AVG left something in.

Are you saying that you uninstalled AVG completely and then reinstalled with
a custom install and omitted the e-mail scanning feature?
