Outlook 2002 - changing 'display' email address

A friend is using Outlook 2002, and has just configured it to the
email servers mail.btconnect.com and pop3.btconnect.com.

He uses the bigfoot email forwarding system, so his email address is
(e-mail address removed) - although his new 'actual' email address is
(e-mail address removed) (he's recently changed ISP, and the bigfoot
system means that he doesn't have to change his 'public' email
address).

However, when configuring the account on Outlook, it refuses to let
him enter the bigfoot address in the 'email address' field - that's
the address which displays on outgoing emails. Apparently he *must*
use his btconnect address to make it work.

Can anyone advise why this is? Is this a 'feature' of Outlook 2002,
or the ISP? Does the domain in the email address have to match that
of the email server now or something :-( ? Is there a way round this
so that he can maintain the bigfoot address and prevent the btconnect
address appearing within his emails?

If Bigfoot or his other email is web based, he cannot use Outlook. He'll have
to use his browser instead.

No it's not web-based email; simply an email forwarding service. I
use bigfoot myself in conjunction with Outlook 2000, with no problems.
It's the newer version of Outlook where there seem to be
difficulties.
