Email address history

Hi,
Normally when I start typing an email address, outlook offers me a
history of previous email address I have entered. I understand that
this can be turned on and off in advanced options.

However, for some reason one of our users (who just happens to be our
MD) has lost his email address history, even though the option is
still turned on. All new addresses he enters start appearing again,
but old addresses seem to be lost. Is it possible that in some way he
has cleared his history (like you can with Internet history)?

Of course, as is the way with MDs, all of my other business critical
projects are now on hold until I can find out why he has lost his
email address history.

Thanks for any help

Colin

No. The autocompletion cache cannot be cleared from the GUI. It can only be
cleared by starting a new Outlook profile or by renaming the autocompletion
cache file.
You can always look to see if there is another NK2 file and set it to be
used by the profile:
